Welcome to DB’s Gym! We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for your fitness journey. Below is a summary of our key terms and conditions:
- Safety First- Use all equipment responsibly. DB’s Gym accepts no liability for injuries caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow staff guidance.
- Membership Rules- Memberships may be suspended or terminated at the discretion of DB’s Gym management, without refund, if the member violates the terms and conditions.
- Personal Belongings- DB’s Gym is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Health and Fitness- You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to exercise. DB’s Gym is not liable for any health issues arising from the use of equipment or from physical activity.
- Payments- All membership fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full and on time. Non-payment or overdue payment may result in suspension of access.
- Facility Closures- Areas of the gym may be temporarily closed for maintenance. We’ll aim to give advance notice when possible.
- Membership Cancellation- Membership cancellations must be submitted by the 20th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. It is the member’s responsibility to cancel recurring payments directly with their bank or provider.

Comprehensive Terms and Conditions
DB's Gym Terms & Conditions
- Definitions
1.1) "Gym" refers to DB’s Gym, including its facilities, equipment, and services.
1.2) "Member" refers to any individual who holds a valid membership with DB’s Gym.
1.3) "Management" refers to the owners and operators of DB’s Gym.
1.4) "Premises" refers to the physical location of DB’s Gym.
- Use of Facilities
2.1) Members must adhere to all posted rules and regulations, including those communicated verbally by staff.
2.2) Members must complete an induction session before using gym equipment independently.
2.3) The Gym reserves the right to restrict or refuse access to equipment at any time.
2.4) Members must wipe down equipment after use and return weights to their designated areas.
- Limitation of Liability
3.1) DB’s Gym and its employees shall not be held liable for any injury, accident, or health issue occurring on the premises, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including those resulting from the improper use of equipment.
3.2) All members acknowledge that participation in gym activities and use of the gym facilities carries inherent risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any resulting injury or condition.
3.3) The Gym will not be held responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages under any circumstances.
- Membership Revocation
4.1) DB’s Gym reserves the right to revoke a membership at any time for violation of gym rules, inappropriate conduct, or behaviour deemed disruptive by Management.
4.2) In the event of revocation, the Gym is not obligated to refund any portion of the membership fee.
4.3) Members agree to indemnify the Gym against any claims resulting from their conduct.
- Personal Belongings
5.1) Members are responsible for securing their personal belongings. The Gym provides lockers but does not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
5.2) Members should not bring valuables onto the premises.
- Health and Medical Conditions
6.1) Members are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to undertake exercise activities and should consult a physician before starting any new fitness program.
6.2) Members must inform the Gym of any medical conditions that may require special accommodations or considerations.
6.3) The Gym reserves the right to request a medical clearance from a physician.
- Classes and Activities
7.1) All classes must be booked in advance through the Gym’s booking system where applicable.
7.2) Class spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The Gym reserves the right to refuse entry if a class is full.
7.3) All classes and activities held at DB’s Gym are subject to change or cancellation. While we aim to provide advance notice, classes may be cancelled without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances, without liability or obligation to provide compensation. No refunds or credits will be issued for class changes or cancellations.
7.4) From time to time, DB’s Gym may host classes or activities run by independent instructors. These classes are not included in DB’s Gym memberships unless explicitly stated. Fees, bookings, and cancellation policies for such classes are determined by the instructor and are separate from DB’s Gym’s own classes. DB’s Gym is not responsible for the content, conduct, or outcomes of these independent sessions.
- Membership Options
8.1) DB’s Gym offers different membership packages, each with specific inclusions:

- Gym Membership (£44/month)- Includes access to gym facilities during opening hours. Does not include access to classes.
- Gym + Classes Membership (£55/month)- Includes access to gym facilities during opening hours and all classes run by DB’s Gym, as listed on our timetable (see Section 7 for class rules).
8.2) Membership benefits, pricing, and inclusions are described on our website and may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to members with reasonable notice.
8.3) External or specialist classes run by independent instructors are not included in any membership package unless explicitly stated, and may require separate payment directly to the instructor.
- Payment of Fees
9.1) Membership fees are due in full at the time of signing up and on a recurring basis as per the membership agreement.
9.2) Late payments may incur additional fees or result in suspension of membership privileges.
9.3) The Gym reserves the right to change membership fees with 30 days' written notice.
- Facility Maintenance and Availability
10.1) The Gym may be closed for repairs, maintenance, or upgrades, and will endeavour to provide advance notice to Members.
10.2) Temporary closure of facilities due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or pandemics, will not result in a refund of membership fees.
- Conduct and Behaviour
11.1) Members are expected to behave respectfully towards other members and staff, and to follow all instructions provided by Gym staff.
11.2) Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the premises and revocation of membership.
- Photography and Filming
12.1) Photography and filming within the Gym are prohibited without prior written consent from Management.
12.2) The Gym reserves the right to use security footage for safety and security purposes.
- Data Protection and Privacy
13.1) The Gym is committed to protecting Members' personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
13.2) Members consent to the collection and use of their personal data for membership management and communication purposes.
- Membership Cancellation Policy
14.1) All membership and class fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable under any circumstances, including but not limited to non-attendance, schedule changes, or personal circumstances.
14.2) Members wishing to cancel must provide written notice by the 20th of the current month to avoid being charged for the following month.
14.3) Members are solely responsible for cancelling any active Direct Debit or recurring payment arrangement with their bank or payment provider. DB’s Gym is not liable for any payments processed after cancellation unless prior written notice has been received and acknowledged.
- Children on the Premises
15.1) DB’s Gym may offer designated classes or events during which Members are permitted to bring their children onto the premises.
15.2) Children must remain under the direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian at all times.
15.3) Children are not permitted to use any gym equipment or access non-designated areas of the facility.
15.4) DB’s Gym accepts no responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, or incident involving children while on the premises, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15.5) It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure their child’s safety and appropriate behaviour during their time at the Gym.
15.6) The Gym reserves the right to deny access to, or remove from the premises, any non-member or child whose presence is considered unsafe or disruptive by Management.
15.7) By attending such classes or events, Members acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their children and agree to indemnify DB’s Gym against any claims or liabilities arising from their presence.
- Amendments
16.1) DB’s Gym reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or posted notices within the Gym.
16.2) Continued use of the gym facilities after any amendments have been made will constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.
16.3) It is your responsibility to review them periodically for changes.
